Oily wastewater disposal is an increasing problem in offshore and onshore oil exploration. This occurs in many other industries and contexts. The Norwegian oil industry has some of the most stringent regulations in the world with respect to disposal of produced water and oily wastewater.
Rena Technology AS has taken up this challenge together with other Norwegian companies. One of the results is a series of membrane based equipment in containerized or standalone versions, which can be combined to suit all purposes. Offshore facilities in EX Zone 2 and according to the NORSOK Z-015 standard for portable equipment - can also be delivered insulated for harsh arctic environments.
